This is the Second Edition of k20, the 20th Anniversary of Jay Koka Studio.

Updated and released April 2007

WELCOME

The "First" edition or version of the 20th Anniversary CD ROM was released in 2005. This version contained extensive sound, music and full motion videos of comments by many painting owners and knowledgeable individuals. There was also extensive on camera commentary by Jay Koka discussing the background and execution of many of his works.

This was... and continues to be... very rich content that unfortunately became a victim of technological change. First, it was created in a PC environment to make it extremely web-friendly... but this made many aspects of the disk troublesome for Macs. Second, the many "rich" features required the viewer's computer to execute files that could be classed as "dangerous" by over-enthusiastic firewalls and filters as well as super-strict security settings of machines browsers.

The bottom line is that too many things had to be "just right" to enjoy the multimedia electronic book in the way it was originally designed.

We've decided to create a Second Edition that contains all of the information of the first but without the multimedia content and produced in a simple PDF format that everyone can use...the Adobe® reader is available for free to everyone.

In addition to this, the entire Second Edition content has also been posted to the 20th Anniversary website at www.k20.ca making it available to everyone without charge.

Navigation of the book is simple... just use the links located at the top of each page. Chapters can be accessed directly by using the links also at the top of each page.

For those who might like to have something to hold in their hands, the Second Edition is also available on request on a single CD for nominal cost.
